The isolation home Dearmer House was added to the site in 1897, the gift of Mrs Caroline Dearmer, whose son had died of epilepsy at the age of 18. Built at a cost of £1,182, the two-storey building was intended for those needing special care and treatment. In 2009 it was proposed to demolish several of the original and later villas, including Dearmer House, and replace them with modern care facilities.
